At a national rentals and logistics company, we operate a complex multi-location environment with demanding uptime requirements. As IT Security Administrator, I balance infrastructure stability with security hardening while supporting business-critical Microsoft Dynamics NAV operations.

This post shares practical insights from managing enterprise infrastructure in a growing furniture rental and logistics operation where technology directly impacts customer satisfaction and revenue.

Our infrastructure spans multiple locations with centralized management. We run Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 as our ERP backbone, VMware ESX for virtualization, Dell PowerEdge servers, and Barracuda security appliances.
